We provide outdoor and adventure-led activities, grounded in therapeutic principles, for adults who are living with challenging and complex health conditions, impairments, or limitations.
We support adults with mental health conditions, neurodevelopmental disorders, physical disabilities, life-threatening or life-limiting illnesses and life-changing conditions. Our charity makes a positive impact, transforming lives through nature connection and nature contact, where everyone feels included.
We offer opportunities to experience adventure, forge friendships, and enjoy meaningful activities. We also recognise that adult challenges—particularly around mental health—can be complex and deeply personal.
Our sessions can be accessed through a programme of 6 activities, followed by our Wilderness Project and through specialist programmes, such as HER Adventure, Elements Club and WorkAbility.
HER Adventure
HER Adventure is our outdoor wellbeing group led by women, for women. We focus on building resilience, boosting emotional wellbeing, and combating isolation, while exploring the natural beauty and rugged landscapes of Devon and Somerset.
Elements Club
Led by men, for men, our Elements Club provides sessions to improve men’s mental health and wellbeing. We reach out to the community and offer proactive support to strengthen resilience, grit and fortitude. This is a non-judgemental space where men can talk if they want to, or just come along and take part in the activity. The sessions focus on hiking or archery with an opportunity to explore other activities with Adventure Therapy, such as kayaking, surfing and bushcraft.
WorkAbility
This project provides support for adults with neurodevelopmental disorders, helping them to develop the skills required for the workplace. Spending time in outdoor spaces, surrounded by nature, we help people to grow in confidence, strengthen their resilience, improve communication skills and respect each other through positive and appropriate language. We identify teamwork and leadership skills and help people to gain a network of support.
WorkAbility is currently available for communities in and around Bridgwater, Somerset.

Referrals
We work with a range of Professional Referral Partners in the communities we serve to refer adults into our service. These include the NHS, Social Services, colleges, other charities, community organisations and private healthcare businesses. However, adults can self-refer and parents, grandparents and legal guardians can make a private referral for vulnerable adults, too.
Initially, we provide a programme of 6 activities which, for adults, is followed by our Wilderness Project. Our specialist projects, such as HER Adventure, Elements Club and WorkAbility can be accessed without taking part in an initial programme of activities.
Our referral process ensures that participation in outdoor and adventure-based therapy is appropriate and likely to benefit each individual, with the aim of improving quality of life and supporting emotional and physical wellbeing.

Our Approach
All of our activities are tailored to each individual’s abilities and capabilities. As participants experience positive outcomes, they are often motivated to continue engaging, building confidence and resilience over time.
